Merz Trio's Macbeth

In fall, 2018, Merz Trio reimagines Shakespeare's familiar narrative of greed and magic as a woven tapestry of text and sound. Haunting works of Brahms, Schumann, Haydn, Verdi, Bray, Shostakovich, and Weinberg appear alongside re-constructed passages from the play, spoken by the trio and interspersed with spoken commentary. Dance soloist Caroline Copeland lends her talent and imagination to the endeavor. Originally scheduled for May, 2018, the event has been postponed to fall, 2018, and will be be hosted by the Kosciuszko Foundation in New York City. Stay tuned for more information!
